*HALO DOGS (Helping Animals Live On) These are highly sought pets that have a higher adoption price. Their adoption can help with the care of less adoptable pets who need longer care!

Your Adoption Fee Includes:

• A general physical examination and behavior evaluation by our veterinary staff.
• Canine or feline distemper combination vaccination and Bordetella (canines only); age-appropriate canines and felines also receive a rabies vaccine.
• Deworming treatment
• Flea and tick treatment
• Canine heartworm test or feline leukemia virus (FELV) / feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) test (if age appropriate and meeting testing guidelines).
• Spay/Neuter surgery
• 30 days of Trupanion pet insurance (starting from first veterinary visit)
• Microchip

Animals at FPAAC are treated with preventative for fleas (dogs/cats) and heartworm (dogs). These preventative treatments are a key part of maintaining the health of your new pet. Please ask us about where to find them online or in stores!
